First successful event for West Africa Connect

Nov 18, 2021

It’s a wrap for the very first edition of West Africa Connect! On November 16 and 17, 441 registered participants from 31 countries around the world engaged in lively online exchanges. We’re pleased that this digital format offered a pandemic-compatible alternative to a ‘traditional’ trade fair, and that all the attendees accepted it so well.

Several dozens of participants showed an interest in the West Africa Connect congress programme sessions, and interacted at a professional level. Top experts, such as Bernard Outah, Sarah Carroll, Mark Kwami, and Yoanna Chikezie shared their knowledge about the current issues and trends in the textiles, garments, and ICT industry. Other experts were also present for discussions and debates on innovative solutions.

The West Africa Connect platform will remain in place as a source of information, with all the videos from the 10 livestreams accessible on demand.

#matchmeettrade some more
During the event, more than 70 successful B2B meetings were organized. To give registered participants the opportunity to match, meet, and trade some more, they can use the Matchmaking tool until November 30, 2021, free of charge. This gives them the opportunity to send requests to people they want to meet during B2B meetings via our Matchmaking tool.
